The Family Nurturing program is also referred to as the Community Action Program for Children. The intention of the program is to strengthen families by providing parents care giving skills, support community development and healing.

Programming and Services

Community Kitchen: A Group of participants join every Monday and we cook healthy, affordable meals together. We cook, we eat, share stories and we laugh.

YMCA Visits: Our participants come two times a week for individual workouts, a group workout as well as taking part in our move it to lose it weight loss program. Children can also attend and join their parents in the tiny tot gym section as well. Health is wealth and we do our best to help maintain balance.

Crafts: Every Thursday we meet and do a craft and have some snacks. We also partner up with other sectors who host traditional craft workshops as well.

Drop In: Our participants and newcomers are welcome to drop in for emergency supplies we offer including baby formula, pampers, wipes if we have it, you can have it. Due to limited supplies, our emergency supplies are available once a month. We also aid in helping anyone who needs help spiritually, mentally, emotionally or physically.
