The Board Designate, assigned by our Board of Directors, is responsible for the successful leadership, management, and coordination of all the sectors at Toronto Council Fire.

The Core Sector supports the day-to-day activities and functions of the centre while ensuring that the goals, mandate and direction are realized.

The Core Sector has interacted with 12, 500 individuals and groups over the past year, including visitors, partners, schools, religious groups, Aboriginal agencies, businesses, Friendship and Cultural Centres, First Nations communities and tribal councils, government officials, advocacy groups, and anyone keen to learn more!

Funding comes from a variety of sources, including the Community Cultural Support Program, a federal program funded by Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) and managed by the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres (OFIFC).
